Who are we?
The Curious Few is a digital marketing and communications consultancy registered in London, UK that works with businesses shaping the built environment. Led by Kimberley and Tony and driven by an insatiable curiosity, they deliver impactful and engaging digital experiences for clients across the globe.
With 15 year’s in media, marketing and communications, most recently as Head of Digital Communications for a large health charity in the UK, Kimberley’s experience is broad. She can help define your marketing communications strategy, manage web design and development projects, shape your inbound and content marketing strategies and deliver synthesised digital analytics reports. Kimberley is fascinated by data and uses insights to guide her recommendations.
Prior to starting The Curious Few consultancy in 2017 with partner Kimberley, Tony worked for Black Architecture, Chetwood Associates, The University of Huddersfield and Fletcher Joseph Architects, where he was responsible for delivering multi-disciplinary, environmentally led projects for a variety of clients. Tony brings over 20 years of experience providing leadership to construction teams and ensuring projects are delivered to brief. He excels at establishing strong relationships with clients to maintain their confidence in the design team and the quality of the work being delivered. With a meticulous attention to detail, Tony is the brains behind the back-end work, using his web development skills to bring site mock-ups to life.
Together the pair left their London home in January 2017 and now work remotely from various locations around the world. They’re currently based in Asia and work regularly with a team of UK-based digital, social media and SEO specialists when a project demands additional resources.
So, what makes us different?
After so many years in the industry, Tony knows all too well the difficulties faced by businesses shaping the built environment: teams under immense pressure, limited time and resources and firms with big ambitions but small marketing budgets, just to name a few.
Because of this, there is often little attention given to developing data-driven digital strategies or user-experience led websites. One thing we see all too often, are website agencies and marketing firms that ‘design and disappear’. We firmly believe there is nothing more unfair or disruptive than this type of approach, so that is not what you get with us. We aim to become your support crew, a team you can turn to that works with you to get your message out to the world, to help you attract new business and turn clients into loyal advocates.
You can also expect us to be:
Inquisitive: We dive head first into understanding your industry, your business and its aims and challenges. Asking a lot of questions and being overly curious is what we think sets us apart.
Transparent: We are an open book and value openness and honesty in all that we do. You will have access to our project management tool which is where the majority of our tasks and communication take place. We encourage you to view and participate in all discussions, questions, and decisions.
Responsive: We place a high value on responsiveness and are committed to providing quick replies to any query. That’s why we operate a 24-hour response time rule.
Communicative: We strive to communicate at a pace that you prefer and in a method that suits you but we do lean toward over-communicating. This way you know exactly where we are at each stage of the project.
Aligned: We make sure to align our work and reporting with what is important to you, instead of only pushing what we think is most important.
Flexible and adaptable: We’re always looking for ways to show additional value. If there’s a way we can help, we will. We’re also very flexible in terms of how we work with you. If you have a preferred method of contact or way you need to receive information, we are happy to adjust our way of working to your preferences.
Well organised: We stress the importance of being ultra-organised on every project. We have well-thought-out agendas, we send meeting notes and action items where appropriate, we keep our project management tool up-to-date with tasks and we always use calendar appointments to schedule our meetings.
