“Your Space, Just Right”: Crafting a modern and aspirational brand for a Norwegian residential property development.

Stortnok is a residential housing project by Stimi Development located in the picturesque Valdres region of Norway. Stimi approached us to help them create a unique and identifiable property brand for Stortnok that was fluid and consistent across all marketing channels. Stortnok is Norwegian for ‘spacious enough’ and reflects their approach to delivering stylishly designed homes which are both modern and functional, with just the right amount of space.

Challenge

Brand a new residential property development that appeals to Scandinavian first-time home buyers, down-sizers and property buyers and investors. The brand had to communicate a sense of minimalism, inclusivity and design quality that signals a certain lifestyle achievable through the purchase of these properties. It needed to have longevity and the ability to roll out across multiple future development projects.

Approach

In our brand discovery, we set out to define Stortnok’s value proposition, brand values and tone of voice that was distinct yet complementary to that of parent company, Stimi Development. Market insights underpinned our brand strategy so that the identity and messaging resonated with Stortnok’s key audiences. The visual identity is supported by the tagline ‘Your Space, Just Right’, with a colour palette and imagery that conveys feelings of openness and a sense of calm.

Results

Internally, the brand we developed for Stortnok helped facilitate understanding and collaboration between developers and contractors. Externally, it clearly communicates the development’s offering to a Scandinavian audience, helping to establish a previously unknown entity as a trustworthy and recognisable brand. The new identity was rolled out across signage, stationery and digital communications, including their new website which we were also commissioned to design and develop (View Stortnok Residential Development Website).
